        黄铠教授现为AIRS高性能智能计算中心主任、香港中文大学（深圳）校长讲座教授。他毕业于美国加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校，获电子工程和计算机科学博士学位。黄教授先后任教于普度大学和南加州大学45年，获终身教授职位。他还曾任清华大学，香港大学等校杰出讲座教授多年。

        黄教授是世界并行处理计算机结构的先驱学者之一。多年来，黄教授在计算机与互联网方面出版了十本英文专著，其中六本曾被翻译为四国文字，在全球被广泛采用。他发表了280篇论文。目前Google学者引用率超过20500次，h‐index为62。他1983年出版国际上第一本经典著作《计算机系统结构与并行计算》并多次回国讲学，推动了高性能计算的研发热潮，促进了国内银河、曙光、天河超算系统的建立。

        黄教授获得诸多奖项，其中包括2012 IEEE世界云计算大会终身成就奖，2019年获得建国70周年70人科技创新成就奖，2020年获得吴文俊人工智能自然科学奖。他为中国计算机领域培养了几千名专业人才，包括4位院士、10位IEEE/CCF会士、30多位计算机高科技领军骨干。中国计算机学会（CCF）向黄教授颁授首届2005 海外杰出学者贡献奖以表彰他对中国工程科技事业的巨大贡献。海外杰出学者贡献奖是CCF为海外学者颁发的最高奖项。
